The Kladruby nad Labem National Stud gained the support of the mayors of five surrounding municipalities which would be the most affected if the National stud were to be registered on the UNESCO list. In the presence of Irena Burešová, Lenka Gotthardová, Michaela Matoušková, Josef Veselý and Jaroslav Trubač, the mayors of respectively Přelouč, Kladruby nad Labem, Řečany nad Labem, Selmice and Semín, a joint statement supporting the nomination of “The landscape intended for breeding and training of the ceremonial carriage horses in Kladruby nad Labem” onto the UNESCO World Heritage List was solemnly signed on 1 January 2018 at the national stud castle. The signed Declaration of Mayors became an integral part of the official nomination documentation which was submitted to the World Heritage Centre in Paris on 29 January 2018.
